Soul Haven Accessibility Statement

Last updated: 3rd September 2026

Soul Haven of Harrogate is committed to creating an inclusive and welcoming experience, both within our physical spaces and online.

We want as many people as possible to be able to access, understand and enjoy our website, regardless of ability, disability, technology or personal circumstances.

Our Commitment

We are working towards meeting the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, which provide internationally recognised recommendations for making websites more accessible.

Where reasonably possible, we aim to ensure that visitors can:

  • Navigate the website using a keyboard;

  • Enlarge text without losing important content;

  • Use screen-reading and speech-recognition software;

  • Understand content written in clear and accessible language;

  • View text with suitable colour contrast;

  • Access meaningful alternative text for important images;

  • Use forms with clear labels and instructions;

  • Identify links and buttons clearly; and

  • Access the website across different devices and screen sizes.

Current Accessibility

We are continually reviewing and improving the accessibility of our website.

However, some areas may not yet fully meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA. These may include:

  • Older images without complete alternative text;

  • Videos or audio recordings without captions or transcripts;

  • Documents supplied in PDF or other formats;

  • Colour contrast within certain branded designs;

  • Content, forms or booking systems provided by third-party platforms; and

  • Older pages or content that have not yet been fully reviewed.

Our website has not yet undergone a complete independent accessibility audit. We do not therefore claim that every part of it is fully compliant.

We are committed to addressing known issues wherever reasonably possible and considering accessibility whenever new content or features are introduced.

Third-Party Services

Our website may connect to booking systems, payment providers, social-media platforms, maps, videos or other services operated by third parties.

Although we aim to select accessible and responsible providers, Soul Haven may not have complete control over the accessibility of externally operated services.

If you experience difficulty using one of these services, please contact us and we will try to offer a reasonable alternative way to access the information or complete your booking.

Alternative Formats

If you need information from this website in another format—such as larger print, plain text, an accessible digital document or information provided by telephone or email—please contact us.

We will consider your request and make reasonable efforts to provide an appropriate alternative.

Accessibility at Our Events and Sessions

We also want our sessions, workshops, training and retreats to feel as accessible and inclusive as reasonably possible.

Please contact us before booking if you have any accessibility, communication, sensory, mobility, dietary or other support requirements. We will listen to your needs, discuss available adjustments and explain honestly if a venue or particular practice presents any limitations.

Not every offering or venue will be suitable for every person, but we will make reasonable efforts to support participation safely and respectfully.

Reporting an Accessibility Problem

If you experience an accessibility difficulty or find any part of the website hard to use, please let us know.

When contacting us, it is helpful if you tell us:

  • The page or service you were trying to use;

  • What went wrong;

  • The device or browser you were using, if known; and

  • What would help you access the information.

Caren Nicols
Michelle  is one of those truly special people who makes you feel safe, loved and completely at ease from the moment you're with her.
I've been lucky enough to experience several sessions with Michelle, as well as her beautiful retreat days, and every single time I have walked away with the deepest sense of peace, love and connection. Her Soul Symphony work is simply incredible.  What makes Michelle so special isn't just how incredibly gifted and skilled she is, but the love behind everything she does. There is never any judgment, only warmth, kindness, reassurance and unconditional love. I have shared my biggest fears with her and have been held with absolute care, love and security.  Michelle has an extraordinary gift for making you feel safe, supported and connected to something greater. I always leave her feeling lighter, calmer, loved and somehow more at peace with everything.
